ひと月ほど前から始めた竹林の整理伐採が　ようやくあと一息のところまで来ました

ここ伊佐家住宅（重要文化財）の竹林では　10年程前に　一部皆伐（かいばつ）に近い整理伐採がされており

新たに生えた若竹は　細くなりました

白いテープが巻かれた竹が　10年前　残しておいた親タケです

まだまだシャンとして　若い竹を見守っているようです

Working in the bamboo forest

I have been cutting fallen bamboos since a month ago, and there is only one step left to finish the work.
Here in Isake-jyuutaku (an important cultural property), all of the bamboos were removed ten years ago apart from the exceptionally good ones.
Thereafter many thin bamboos have been growing up in the forest.
Those few bamboos that were saved at that time, are still doing well and now watching over the young bamboos.
