今年最後の伐竹となる　お正月に使用される青竹を伐り終えて

ようやく今年の竹林の仕事も　一段落しました

これから各竹林を回り　「お礼整理伐」をして　今年を締めくくります

（そういえば　昨年解体した枯れ竹は　今どうなったかな？）

伊佐家住宅へお伺いすると・・・

これが本当に　竹だったのだろうか　

踏むのがためらわれるほど　フカフカしています

中を見ると　いるいる！　カブトムシの子どもが　すやすやと眠っています

竹林へいらした奥様も　　「　いい土になりましたね　」　とにっこり

風や雨　太陽や虫たち　そして地主の方の思い・・・　

みんなで作っているのだな

静かな　確かな　大地の営み

Observe The Soil

I finished cutting bamboos which I had planned to cut this year.
The last bamboos cut are used for the New Year.
I finished my work by cutting the dead bamboos in each bamboo forest,
to show my thanks for cutting bamboos.

When I visited Isake-jyutaku(important cultural property)and its bamboo forest,
there was a pile of dead bamboos which had been decomposed into rich soil.
"I can't believe this soil was formerly bamboo!", I thought.

"They have turned into a good soil." The wife said to me with a smile.

Working of the earth is quiet and certain.
