５月１５日　大覚寺の竹林へ来て見ると

春の最終走者　マタケタケノコが　顔を出していました

すでにＲさんの背を超えています　（１３日の雨が合図だったのかな…）

記録を取り続けてきた中でも　最も早い出生です

この竹林から生まれるタケノコは　今年はおそらく少ないかも知れません

親竹に見守られて　すくすくと　育つ

May 15, I went to work in the bamboo forest of Daikaku-ji temple.

Then, Matake's bamboo shoots which I called "anchor of spring" were beginning to sprout.

It has been already exceeded my height. (The rain of the day before yesterday was the signal ...?)

It was the earliest budding I have ever logged.

I think this year bamboo shoots will not come up to ground so much in this bamboo forest.

They grow up quickly and peacefully under the tender look of parent bamboos.
