彼岸花やクズの赤紫色の花が野を彩り　雲がすっかり秋になった秋分の日

晴天日の15時ごろ　伐った竹からぽとぽとと滴が落ちていることに気づきました

手の甲に付けてなめてみるとやはり　とんでもなく甘い

この竹の滴　決まって晴天の日の15時ごろ溢れて落ちて　甘いのです

竹は維管束植物ですから　根から吸い上げた水分や養分を運ぶ道管と　光合成で作った養分を運ぶ師管とがあります

（甘いってことは　笹の方から師管の中を落ちてきた養分ってことかな…）

光合成とは簡単に言うと　光エネルギーを使って水と二酸化炭素から炭水化物（糖類）を合成し酸素を出す反応とその仕組みのこと

しかしこの甘さは　シロップになりそうです

竹の生命力の源は　太陽光とこの光合成にあるのかも…

In the Autumnal Equinox Day,

when red-violet color of spider lilies or flowers of Pueraria montana paint the field

under the sky with autumnal clouds, I found some dews dropping from bamboo that I had cut.

It was around 3pm.

I catched it by back of my hands and tasted... it’s so sweet!

Dews are always dropping from bamboo, around 3pm in the sunny day.

As bamboo is a vascular plant, it has xylem which transports water and nutrients from root,

and phloem which transports nutrients generated by photosynthesis.

“As it is sweet, it may be some nutrients dropping down through the phloem...”

Photosynthesis means, in brief, a reaction and mechanism to synthesize carbohydrate

in generating oxygen, from water and CO2 using light energy.

Anyway, this sweetness would be nice to make syrup.

The source of bamboo’s vitality may be made from the sunlight and this photosynthesis.
