２０１３年１２月 １つの竹林で
ある小さな 試みをしました
頭の隅っこで ずっと考えてきた
枯竹の山に関しての 試みでした
とても地味かつ 地道に取り組まなければならない問題だったので
部長に切り出すまで（試み決行の条件が揃うのに）時間がかかりました
眉間にしわを寄せつつ（Ｒさんのたどたどしい説明のせいで）
何とか部長も 許可を出してくださり
スコップを片手に ついに６年を経た枯竹の山に 挑んだのでした
距離はおおよそ ２０メートルくらいあります
とりあえず半日で ５メートルは崩せるかな
３段ほど竹をどかすと 何かがコロンと出てきました 「 ギャッ 」
思わず近くの 椿（ツバキ）の木に避難しました （ ナニヤツッ ）
白い大きな 物体はジッと動きません （ 冬眠中かな ）
そのときＲさんは ふと思い出しました
（ そういえば去年の夏 立派なカブトムシが この竹林にいたな ）
カブトムシの子なら 怖くないぞ！
ホッとしたＲさんが 再びスコップを握ると
なんと なんと ザクザクと出てきたのです
見つける度にスコップをおいて
手でソッとつまんで（ 最初は手が震えましたが ）
安全な場所に お引っ越しさせていると
５メートル片付いた頃には 西の空は 茜色に染まっていました
体はクタクタです （ ２００匹は優に超えていただろう ）
けれどこの試みの中で １つ 嬉しい発見もありました
カブトムシのコドモが 居る辺りの土が
林内の土と 明らかに違い
黒く良質な土のように感じたのです
帰ってから いくつかの資料をあたってみると
カブトムシのコドモは 腐植土（腐葉土）を食べて育つということ
Ｒさんの見た それらのサイズも
標準よりだいぶ 大きめであることも分かりました
ちなみにカブトムシのコドモは 乾燥には弱いが
高い免疫力を備えていて 注目されているとの事…

こんな風に 繋がっているんだな

December 2013, I made an attempt to save of dead bamboo.
I had been revolving this project in my mind for a long time.
As I got finally the green light from our production manager.
I started to carry out my challenge.
The field in question spread about 20 meters
long which has been untouched for 6 years.
I started to work with a shovel in my hand.
Then something appeared. (Yippee!)
(…what are you?)
It's did not move. (Hibernating?)
Suddenly I remembered that I had watched here a big beetle last summer.
I felt relieved and started again to dig the ground.
And how! I found a lot of big larvae of beetle!
When the sky turned by sunset, I barely cleared up
the bamboo in range of 5 meters.
I was exhausted. (Beetle larvae must have been more than 200.)
Through this attempt, I made a happy discovery;
In the field where lived the beetle's babies
the type of soil was clearly different from other parts.
It seemed to me very good soil.
After coming back home, I referred some materials
concerning the beetle.
According to them, beetle larvae grow up eating leaf mold.
Incidentally, beetle larvae can't hold dry climate
but they have a high immunity.
Beetle have kept alive by bamboo
and have raised bamboo at the same time.
It's an exquisite rotation.
