雪とともに　平成27年（2015年）が　始まりました

各地の大寒波による大雪で、雪の除去等お年寄りの方々をはじめ
大雪被害に遭われました皆様に、心からお見舞い申し上げます。

今年の初仕事は　竹材の基本工作工程の　油抜き（火晒し加工）から

昨年秋に伐竹（ばっちく）した竹の水分が　程よく抜けていることを確かめます

美しい萌黄色（もえぎいろ）が　ムラなく出れば　大丈夫です

（あと1週間くらいかな・・・）

厳しい冬の寒さの中　若々しい竹の緑とともに　新たな年の　始まりです

The First Workday of The Year 2015

The New Year began with snow.
My first job of the year was wiping off the bamboo oil
with a rag (we call this process Aburanuki).
I judge whether to start this process by looking at the color of the bamboo after finished wiping.
